Let's make Riverside Church in New York into "The U.S. Vatican". Not only is Riverside affiliated with the UCC, it's also affiliated with the American Baptist Convention. I mean, it's hard to do better than a church that has 'American' as part of its name, right? And they're Baptists, too. Baptists in America can be traced back to the 1630's, making them almost Protestant royalty. Unfortunately, they also share virtually every point of dogma and doctrine with the UCC, and the "American Pope" would be a single woman with three adopted children, one of them black and female, but you can't have EVERYTHING, can you?
