These polls are interesting, but offer nothing reliable. I am not surprised at the results at all. It is not surprising that a liberal/progressive site would have a large number of non-believers because that fits the demographics.
If you look at who said atheist, you might recognize about 10% of the names as people who participate in either religion or A/A. The other 90% don't and are most likely just personally atheistic with no need to make an issue of it. I would say the same for believers and agnostics and "others".
Some of the discussion is interesting and prophet451 is doing a really good job of managing the thread.
