Notifications Box not going away

I use DU via MS Edge on my laptop.

Usually when I first sign in to DU I get a box that says "We'd like to send you some notifications" that pops up.

I generally hit "Dismiss" and it goes away.

However, right now the box is not going away after I hit "Dismiss." Is there some sort of bug in the system? The box in the middle of my screen is annoying.

But it might depend on your browser settings... here is a page with some instructions for making sure the notification permission is set correctly in Edge:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/manage-website-notifications-in-microsoft-edge

That said, I don't think the notification is supposed to appear in the center of your screen. Is there any way you can get a screenshot of it and post it here or email it to me? (earlg@democraticunderground.com)

If you press the "PrtSc" key on your keyboard the clip tool should appear. This will make the clip tool appear at the top of the screen. If you click the third icon from the left and select "Rectangle" you can draw an area on your screen which will be copied directly to your clipboard -- just paste that into an email to me.

It seems that when I hover over "dismiss" and click, it's not actually clicking on "dismiss." Nothing happens and the notification window continues to appear.

I'm using Firefox on a MacBook.

No idea what could be causing it, unfortunately... I've reached out to our notification provider to see if they know what's going on.

Should I try turning him off and leaving him that way?
