Is there a way to have spell check as an automatic option?

(17,551 posts)2. Spell check on DU4...
Spell check is no longer available on the smart cell phone view. It is only available on desktop view. Something about the smart phone code is no longer compatible with DU4 spell check. That is why it disappears and becomes unavailable in the smart cell phone viewing mode.
There is no fix. Can you go onto DU using a desktop connection but not a phone ?

(15,692 posts)3. I seem to remember reading that the new assumption is that phones all have spell-checkers.
Just checked on my desktop and it says that I somehow chose or defaulted to "check spelling as I type"
Little squiggles under words it doesn't grasp.
Could be wrong. My memory has its limits ( 640K? )
Good luck.
