I have given a few warnings to those posting in our big threads because I do understand how easy it is to pull a "GREATEST" or "LATEST" thread, assuming it is GD, only to find it is in a safe haven group with actual rules to follow. I made that mistake on a BOG thread early on (in a pretty inocuous way, but still faced major consternation and my one and only hide).


That said, warnings don't phase those who really have no business posting in HOF, so it pretty much comes out the same, regardless.

but, unfortunately, I think it won't. The few who argue unanimity in the F&G Hosts forum, will still prevent these egregious threads from being locked.

Those were two extremely gross over the top posts to a DU member in good standing. It's ok to call someone who was raped a liar on DU? Cause that's just about the only message that was conveyed, even though the community thought it was way out of line.

There's a lot of outrage here when a post like Bennyboy's gets left by a jury, yet you told bluesbassman that pretty much anything posted by the members here was acceptable as long as a jury lets it stand. I've seen some pretty ugly stuff posted in this group, followed by high fives.

We are a self policing community. If you find a type of behavior unacceptable, it should be unacceptable here, as well. By allowing bad behavior here, it helps lower the bar of community standards. If you want those standards to change, I would suggest you start at home.
