An intimate tale of a young Russian woman abandoned by her mother who is forced into prostitution and, ultimately, sex slavery. A bleak, bloodless, nasty, sad tale. Sad beyond description. Yet bitingly human.
But it is something you must watch.
Now if you'd excuse me I'm going to roll up into a ball and cry for a little bit.

(110,159 posts)and it does not entertain, nor empower me, anothers pain. those that need to watch movies like that will not feel the pain, because it will interrupt their comfortable "pretty woman" illusion. then, how can they use a woman as a thing.
