i feel like mlp (my little pony) shares a lot in common w/ boobs in that their intended audience is young children but men have sexualised them and get angry when they cater to their intended audience instead of them.

Those who havent been sexually violated may have difficulty understanding why women who survive assault often blame themselves, and may wrongly attribute it to a sex-linked trait of masochism or lack of self-esteem. They dont know that it can be less painful to believe that you did something blameworthy than it is to think that you live in a world where you can be attacked at any time, in any place, simply because you are a woman. It is hard to go on after an attack that is both randomand thus completely unpredictableand not random, that is, a crime of hatred toward he group to which you happen to belong.

In the history of the human race, there has literally never been a single sex industry wherein the majority, let alone the entirety, have chosen their position freely. Saying, I support the idea of sex work, but only when all of the women involved are safe and consenting is about as close to meaningless as you can get. We can sit around and imagine all day about some hypothetical future system of selling sex that is completely dissimilar both in form and function to every other system of selling sex that currently exists or has ever existed, but the fact is that prostitution and pornography, *as they exist in real life*, are inherently violent institutions. We dont have time to deal in thought experiments, abstract theories, and Platonic forms so long as real women are being raped and tortured and killed by real men every day in the here and now.

Speaking of this one:

Did you follow what happened in the mlp fandom on tumblr? A girl noticed that there were too much porn readily available of the fandom, where kids could find it. Not only that, but they were sending harmful messages about rape. So she stood up and pleaded with the fandom to stop with the rape jokes because they hurt the rape victims in the fandom, and she was given death and rape threats for it. And she was stalked in real life. Just for standing up and asking the men who were interested in a feminist cartoon to ease up on the freaking rape jokes!
