History of Feminism
Related: About this forumHere's to 2014!
In March or April of 2012 this group was formed. It's been a long slog but moving into 2014 we find that we are one of the most active groups for posting here on DU. That's no small feat considering the backlash we've felt. Through it all, each one of us has stood tall, supported one another and made a home for ourselves here. Congratulations!
It's been a great experience getting to know each and every single one of you throughout 2013. All of you had made this little corner of DU so special to me. I've learned, I've grown, I've become stronger. I've laughed with each of you, I've shared frustration with each of you, I've shared my feelings with each of you. You have laughed with me, you've shared frustration with me and you've shared your feelings with me!
The people. The kindness you show. The knowledge ready to be shared by all. The support for one another. This is what we feel in our real lives with our family and friends and is what I feel here in the group with all of you as well. It's been quite rewarding, and that is what gives me great hope for 2014. It might be a wild ride, but we'll be here for each other!

For last years words belong to last years language. And next years words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning. Happy New Year!-author unknown found another source, possibly TS Eliot

(22,057 posts)and Season 1, Episode 1 of BBCAmerica's The Tudors. Don't know how long I'll watch but its on for the next 20 hours and I plan to watch a lot of it. I know the history is a bit rocky, but the story is a good one, the costumes are stunning and the actors are beautiful (probably far more attractive than they were in real life but who cares?)
Happy New Year!

I'm watching the Arsenal game and starting to get annoyed about it.

Thank you from the bottom of my soul for doing the fighting I can no longer do.
I hope you all have a wonderful year ahead.
