i fail. i totally fail at shopping. i never have been able to shop. and still to this day i fail at shopping. i went out. i looked, and looked, and looked. and looked some more. failure. totally. failed.
two more days....
X swore i could do it. i am woman. it is biological.
my mom was gooood. she could always pick out the most creative and fun and wanted presents. me? not so much. just let me go to the convenience store the 24th.
sigh
two more days. i can do this.
i did come home and make a yummy apple tortilla for dessert. so maybe half woman.

We're having our solstice meal tonight starting off with a nice dry sparkling wine in about 15 minutes!

(4,035 posts)That's what we do in my family. My mom will ask, what do you want for Christmas, and we'll all think of some things. The other adult members of the family ask each other as well, which is why my brother will be getting the last two books in the Dune series for Christmas, and my mom will be getting a facial cream.
Even before birthdays, we ask each other what we want.

EVERYTHING in life must be the last minute. or where is the challenge of fail/success. lol. i inspire to be you, i admire and look in awe. and i inevitably... fail. but, it is cool. this is my battle to endure every year. and then there is tomorrow.
next year. i promise.
