Letter: Applause for senators proposed legislation

"Sen. Neal Tapio of Watertown and Sen. Lance Russell of Hot Springs have proposed legislation that suspends refugee settlement from North Korea (a persistent problem here in South Dakota) and six Muslim majority countries, as well as legislation that prevents S.D. towns, cities and schools from providing sanctuary for undocumented aliens.

I would humbly suggest that the bill doesn’t go far enough and urge our lawmakers to expand this legislation to include outer space. Why? Credible sources tell me that intelligent beings in Alpha Centauri have cemented plans for establishing sanctuary cities in S.D. – chiefly in the Watertown and Hot Springs area, which, if you didn’t know, are already under threat by Boko Haram, ISIS and al-Qaida. Worse, evidence indicates that these terrorist groups have been colluding with the Alpha Centaurians. The ultimate objective: use S.D. as a launch pad to take down the United States."
