A big thank you! and a small update

The support I received here about Mom's death really helped. DU has been a major community for me for so long (I came here for news on 9/11--THAT long!) Even those of you I don't know well deserve a big hug

Update: Today I got the report from her Medigap insurance and it looks like they paid ALL the outstanding bills for her last days. I can finally settle with my brother and get on with my own life. Didn't know how much it was weighing on me until I felt it lift off
Thank you all again~

Worrying about insurance doing the right thing during the emotion of it all is doubly difficult. I am so relieved you got good news today. Please accept my condolences on the loss of your mom.

Because she retired so long ago and because she worked for the state (and could afford the premiums)
It's been a long three months and I'm still figuring out what to do with my time. Got some cleaning done and feel like there is an end to the tunnel
