a wether radar question.

ive been tracking severe storms and thunderstorms tracking from loas vegas, twenty nine palms, el torro and east of la and san deigo. every so often a rectanngle or square would sourround a storm/ what does that mean? thanks

Severe weather warning, tornado watches, etc.. It’s not one single reason.
