The One Thing You Should Do . . .

The One Thing You Should Do Before Every International Trip

https://www.smartertravel.com/the-one-thing-you-should-do-before-every-international-trip/?

I never used to get foreign cash before an international trip, but the last two trips I did and I'm glad that I had local currency. Although I typically use credit cards, sometimes that's just not feasible and it's just handy to have some local cash on hand. And of course it's great for tips as it's becoming more and more difficult for tour guides to exchange US cash too their currency.

I've been places where cash is not needed at all (and I ended up with foreign currency I didn't need) and places where it was a must. I wouldn't take this advice out of hand without a little prior research.
