If there's no surf, you can strap a propeller to your butt and try this.



A friend did and now has a rod with pins in his leg. He warns that it looks like fun, but landing can sometimes be problematic.

There was a hang gliding club right down the road. You could always tell when somebody landed not quite where they wanted when the sirens came in.
