We are FINALLY getting almost normal January temps here in AZ borderlands. Our nighttime lows have been where highs should be. Myaybe some snow at my altitude. But it won't last and we desperately need more rain/snow

The one in my backyard is a creek lol.
Covered by snow, treacherous for skating still. My son can't wait until it's ready.

If I knew how to post a pic I would share. One day...

I have BOTH creek AND river, house is on little peninsula between the 2!!! SUCH good fortune!!!

I've admired your pics of the river for a long time. Now I find out you have a "creek" too. Very fortunate indeed. But we each have a little slice of heaven. I love my little brook and the peace and nature around it.

Every year we get little goslings too! There's several gaggles of geese on the river, they come back every year and make little families. At dusk all the families gather and form a LONG line with the little ones trailing behind and swimming happily as one big family. If I find a pic I will post.

Thanks for giving me that link. I am thrilled!
