Bengals' playoffs hopes still alive with 19-17 victory over the Steelers

Now, in order for Cincy, 9-8, to make it into the post-season, they need the Broncos to lose to Kansas City and Miami to either lose to or tie the Jets.

STAY TUNED!

As a Chiefs fan/Bronco hater, I'm embarrassed and extremely disappointed. But I guess it's to be expected.

That said, I hope Cincinnati advances.

I think I'd prefer not to face Joe Burrow in the playoffs. He's probably the most dangerous quarterback not named Patrick Mahomes. He definitely makes the Bengals a scarier potential foe than the Broncos or the Dolphins. I don't think the Chiefs would deliberately tank, but I can see them playing scrubs as much as possible.

Miami has their problems, but I have a really hard time thinking these Jets - as much a hot mess these days as they have been historically - can beat the Fins.

He hasn't commanded a lot of attention this season because the Bengals got off to a horrible start and had a mediocre season. But his stats have been elite!

Joe Burrow is the 3rd QB in NFL History with 4,500+ Pass Yards, 40+ Pass TDs & fewer than 10 INTs in a season. Burrow joins:
2007 Tom Brady (Won MVP) and 2011 Aaron Rodgers (Won MVP).

Burrow on the Bengals' 5-game winning streak to keep their season alive:

Comp%: 76.7%
Passing Yards: 1,581
Passing TDs: 13
EPA per DB: +0.17
Total Pass EPA: +38.4

I saw his acceptance speech of him winning the Heisman trophy……fell in love right then and there. Been in love ever since. 🥰

Denver 38, Kansas City 0.

Wow. Only the 2nd shutout of the year, and in week 18. Burrow watches from home like the rest of us this year.

too much of a hole and left their fate in the hands of others. Hopefully a better defense in Cincy and a strong sophomore season from Chase Brown when they take the field again in the fall.
