(1,307 posts)3. i've worked that area , the adriatic near albania
and don't remember the pelicans. gulls were plentiful, looked like laughing gulls
the brown pelicans here on lake pontchartrain were once rare as well, but protection of their nest areas and banning ddt have restored them fairly well.
