Birders
Related: About this forumWatching me thru front door! Friend says great crested flycatcher.
Descriptions say LARGE, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_crested_flycatcher but didn't look large to me, certainly not hawk-size, more like robin.

(15,359 posts)really see what they are though.
It's like watching a cross between a butterfly and hummingbird seeing them hunt. I'm right by this bowl style high school track and those little guys are the only bird you will see land in the middle of a chain-link fence. It's about a month or so until I start seeing them right in my yard. When they fly, you get glimpses of the two white stripes on their wings. There is no mistaking those little guys.

(3,198 posts)It's a good tool but isn't definitive. I've found it to be a great helper when you can see the bird while it's calling.

(33,322 posts)The ''crested'' messenger bird also symbolizes focus on the head region, so it seems an especially *perfect* visitor looking in on you.
All best wishes for healing
