I hope they never see the inside of a stadium ever again! Mookie probably wanted to backhand 'em both with his glove after this disgraceful act.

(279 posts)These two should never be able to get into a MLB park for the rest of their lives and assault charges should be filed against them.
Yet another reason why I am a Red Sox fan.
Hope the Dodgers close them out tonight.

(6,608 posts)I'm a Mets fan. Yankees fans remind me of Republicans.

(72,067 posts)part of a little cabal. perhaps the worst bday in my whole marriage was the time we went to see them play the yankees. omg. what obnoxious fans. they were worse here than the game we saw them play in nyc.

(6,608 posts)Yankee stadium... you might have a couple of fans left. I'm really actually talking about the proportion of complete assholes amongst the Yankees fans vs. the Mets fans. It's just that i associate republicans with assholes.

(13,716 posts)Wife goes to rest room, where a fight is in progress. I recall the exact quote. "I'll show you, 'Boston sucks." Two women slugging it out, enough blood to give Dexter a hard-on."
We don't know the prelude to the fray but both parties were willing participants.
Same game --- I stroll out to get a hotdog or whatever. A fight breaks out, wherein one participant, wearing Boston regalia, takes a jar of mustard and wings it at a Yankee fan.
I don't remember who won the game.
Fast forward to 1981. Dodgers v. Yankees. Our seats were between home and third, lower level. About 4 rows behind me, were the Dodger's wives. One level, directly above me, was Joe DiMaggio. These were not shit seats.
Anyway, in the middle of the game, a hotdog fight breaks out.
About an inning later, the game gets close and a guy, two or three rows behind me, doesn't want to miss anything. So he stands up and begins to piss on the concrete.
I doubt that many Boston fans were at that game.
The point - assholery at sports events is now quite common. That is why I haven't been to the stadium or any other professional sports event since my adventure in 1981.

Yankees management thought tge behavior was ok. MLB had to correct them.
