NASCAR will not start its 2026 season with a snow race, with the announcement of the postponement of The Clash at Bowman Gray being moved to Monday, following Saturday morning's snowstorm.

Link to tweet" target="_blank">zero postponements across the three national touring series in 2025, NASCAR opens its 2026 campaign with a delay to The Clash, which was moved to Monday after heavy snowfall and harsh winter conditions on Saturday morning.
Before the postponement, the event had already been shortened, moving all activity to Sunday, cutting the Sport Mod and Modified companion races, and eliminating the Cup cars' heat races. ... The winter storm warning for the Winston-Salem area predicts 3 to 7 inches of snow and is in effect until 7:00 AM Sunday morning.
NASCAR's original plan was to start prepping the track while snow was still falling on Saturday morning, bringing a fleet of vehicles to tackle the storm the night before.
