(6,965 posts)I could probably still do it. You should have seen what it was like to go into the back lot of the bar we used to play in Blacksburg, VA. (We could not load from the front, Gods, no. That would have been super easy and simple.) The others finally just made sure I was the one to do it.

(5,151 posts)One afternoon I had the pleasure of driving around the office building to the right then backing into a hole. Then to the left and repeat. Fun stuff. But I did learn how to back into a dock between 2 trucks.

(249 posts)My wife drives an 07 Tahoe. My own backup is my 01 Sierra (usually I drive something smaller, but it's currently out of commission). Over the last few months I've had to park in various garages for medical appointments (with minor damage), so I appreciate what these drivers go through!
Parking garages aren't designed for modern automotive bloat.

(5,151 posts)They were built and striped for a large car not a vehicle the size of a Sherman tank. If you can restripe you loose 25% of your parking. That doesn't count loses because of structural member locations.
Plus length is an issue. Stalls and lanes need to be bigger and stories may need to be taller.
