No, the vast majority of NCAA tournament basketball players are not millionaires. While Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals and new revenue-sharing models have created "March Madness millionaires" at the top of the sport, these high earners represent a very small percentage of the total tournament field.

I find it interesting that just a few years ago, paying players was cause for big trouble.

Thats a terms violation of their student visas.

All the foreign college basketball players Im familiar with are affiliated with a pro club and/or national team.

With the recent Winter Olympics just concluded I remember when Figure Skaters would tour the Country in the Ice Capades to capitalize on the buzz just created for the sport and make money. Now most of the top Olympic athletes are millionaires.
NCAA football has a large percentage of the millionaire college athletes. Which is not surprising since most college athletic departments rely on the money football brings in..
