In the preseason and in his first two NFL regular season appearances he exhibited the same flaws which he exhibited in college, which are generally incompatible with NFL success -- holding the ball too long and bailing out the back of the pocket, specifically. A better performance against the worst team in the league is a step in the right direction to be sure but doesn't erase what came before. Sanders is still not an obviously viable starting QB. Maybe he will be some day, but it will take a while even if it happens.

I've got no care for Stefanski one way or another, but the sabotage narrative is so illogical. What would Stefanski's motivation for sabotaging Sanders be? Do people actually believe he wants to lose more and lose his job? Wouldn't winning more and getting a contract extension or a better job off the back of that record be the obviously desirable goal?

his offenses just don't seem to be well-coached and disciplined. I do think the team needs an overhaul, and along with Stefanksi I would can GM Andrew Berry.
