Japan to face U.S. in World Baseball Classic final - CBS News

After a thrilling walk-off win against Mexico, Japan is set to face the United States in the World Baseball Classic final. He traveled to Japan in the thirties and put on clinics, focusing on team management. He resumed his visits after the Second World War. Japan was totally receptive, and the rest is history.

They though so much of him, they inducted him into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame.
