(21,565 posts)The mayor calls Arrowhead Stadium in KC "Burrowhead" Stadium, which Bengals players have labelled it as because Cincy QB Joe Burrow has not lost there. He led the Bengals in an epic comeback at Arrowhead in the playoffs last year.
The idea of the paternity test is because it plays on this concept that Joe Burrow is so dominant over Patrick Mahomes (he's 3-0 against him in his young career), so he must be Patrick's "daddy," figuratively speaking.

(21,565 posts)There's an undercurrent of "Joe Burrow owns you," similar to how Aaron Rodgers openly said as much about his career versus the Bears. That one is pretty widely accepted because there is established dominance over many years.
Burrow vs. Mahomes (and, by extension, the Bengals vs. the Chiefs) is just warming up as a rivalry, but if Burrow and Cincy get out to a 4-0 lead, particularly with two playoff victories, then that narrative really starts to get some bite (like in the photo above).
