Midnight

Just a few clicks to go
As the second hand spins round the dial
Midnight approaches, the day ends soon
Where did it go so suddenly?

I’m still awake, thoughts spinning round my mind
Fears intrude into my future dreams
No rest for me tonight
Just worries, stress, and noise

Can I forget the past events?
All that happened, good and bad
Will tomorrow be peaceful, or will there be pain?
Or just another mediocre day?
