It is (sadly) to laugh - The World's (Original!) Foremost Authority

Before tramp hit the scene, this guy was (intentionally!) breaking audiences up for years. His name is Professor Irwin Corey billed as "The World's Foremost Authority."
If you younger readers never heard of him, you may enjoy the comedic precursor of DJT. And actually one more intelligent!
Here are a couple clips to watch to see if he reminds you of anyone... (more on youtube). I can't quite seem to put my finger on who it might be...
He past away in 2017 at the age of 102. Hopefully, his longevity doesn't give any indication of the curent "wannabe's" potential existence!

My mother couldn’t stand him and changed the channel whenever he came on.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
