(63,300 posts)If I had known before that there was going to be an actor and writers strike, I may have gone to it. Just so I could talk to the artists without having to deal with the crowds

(94,939 posts)My siblings works in production and works the conference most years. Said it was really nice this year without all the hoopla and was more like a return to the essence of what it started out to be.

(19,351 posts)The Chad Hatter...He designed and made the costumes for Edna Turnblatt from HAIRSPRAY. He is an immensely talented Costume Designer.
A few years ago at Comic Con, he recreated Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter costume from ALICE IN WONDERLAND, that even Tim Burton was impressed. Even autographed his hand made hat too.
When DR. STRANGE and The Avengers films came out, Chad wore his recreated and detailed costume from the movie, that even Benidict Cumberbach autographed Chad's cloak TWICE. I have a picture of when the two met the first time.
