I've read everything he's ever written.

Great minds and all.

Although I couldn't finish his latest book.

That's too bad. I was looking forward to the paperback being released. His novels are all formula with basically the same plot, but it works.

Part of it was tRump and Melanoma are characters in the book. But to each his/her own. A lot of folks enjoyed it.

If you’re from the south it’s even funnier.

I love Bryson. I think I've read everything he's written. As an Anglophile, I can totally relate to his books about Britain.

It begins with Crocodile on the Sandbank, and continues for a total of 20 books. The later ones get a bit more serious as the world heads to the first world war, but there are still great moments of humor amid the mysteries.

Barbara Mertz was one of my favorite authorities on Egyptology. A hobby of mine.
When she branched out into fiction, I naturally followed. Loved all of her books, and still miss her amiable writer's voice.

She was as charming and funny in person as she was on the page!

She was one of the guides on a very expensive Nile cruise I took. Her erudition and sly humor made her the highlight of the tour. Got her to sign my treasured old copy of "Red Land, Black Land" for me!

It's imaginative and amusing and very well written.
