At the same time, I'm simply not willing to write anyone off, however misguided or bigoted they are. Maybe that makes me naive and misguided myself, but I cannot in good conscience call myself a Democrat (or more specifically in my case, a Christian) if I can't have compassion for EVERYONE.

That's me, though, and I won't hold it against you or anyone else who may disagree. ..

It's having the clarity to understand -

Those people hate me.
They acted on that hate with their vote.
The people they placed in power can and WILL inflict harm on me.
I'm no longer obligated to consider them at all.

I have to put myself first - because they want me eliminated.

You are seeing the workings - the very core start of a mass genocide - if we don't stop the tide now.
