TEMPLE — David Villarreal, 53, is a four-time stroke survivor.

“If I survive one more I get a free set of dishes,” Villarreal, a former Marine, said jokingly.

Villarreal was recently at the Fit4Life challenge at the Olin E. Teague Veterans’ Medical Center.

He had the first stroke at age 50 and it was the big one. He wasn’t expected to live through the night.

I can't imagine after one that he was not on medication and under medical care. I know stroke can be repeated but 4 in 3-years? I don't believe anything could have been done to stop them.

These are just my blabbering thoughts to myself. I have no proof of anything I typed. Just talking out load.
