Our government decides that a 5-year-old child can give informed consent to waive her rights.

The form says “child’s signature.”
This is by design. This is not a stopgap. This is our government deciding that a 5 year old child can give informed consent to waive her rights.

We were sort of on an upward path-- DACA for the Dreamers-- that was a sensible and compassionate policy. Paris Accords

And now-- a minority president gets in because of manipulation by Putin and the resentment and racism of a minority of voters--

and here we are. Forcing children to give up their rights- tricking parents into giving up their children-- declaring that we have the right to forcibly give children into adoption without their parents' consent.

This is EVIL. Are we that close to evil?
Do we even care?

BTW, Melania, you think you're the most bullied person in the world? Try being Helen, a five-year-old torn from her parents and forced now to sign a form saying she has no rights.

A person cannot open the web page for a Brewpub without confirming that the viewer is 18, but it is OK for a 5-year old to sign away her rights?

My GAWD, what have we become?
