So many rulers overthrown, one way or another. King George, Napoleon, Bourbons, Czar (which is what he was before history made him Tsar). I don't enough about Chinese history to comment about the 1900s. Hitler, the U.S.S.R.

You'd think after awhile that either these power-hungry clowns would be tamed enough to morph into Enlightened Monarchs, or the voters, citizens, would figure out the cycles of history and not elect them or support them. But the masses so enjoy the drama, the "Let them eat cake!" moments, the soap operas of their era. And today they have Hollywood, pop culture, and sports to distract them.
