It was iconic at the time and a real feather in the cap of the photographer.
It really humanized the president.

There are DUers who can name everyone in that picture without having to look it up.

It’s raining hard in central Virginia.

guy but cannot remember his name, then I think Bob McNamara.

Could be wrong, though.

But he looks younger than McNamara.
And not quite like McNamara.

So yes I am not sure either.

Never noticed it before.
