He was under the deck shelter when I brought out the food. It's only about 2' deep. Normally he scoots out and hides under a Hosta but this morning there was still a light rain falling so I was filling the bowls and then pushing them beneath the overhang. He scooted out, screeched to a halt and headed right back to within a few inches of me and the food bowls.
Right about then the rain stopped. Poor little Rhian ran after me as I headed to feed the adults. Apparently the only food bowls in the kitten area that she saw were being used. I picked her up and took her to an unoccupied one and she dug right in.
I really do enjoy this first interaction of the day with my outdoor fur babies. Rain or shine, they make me smile.

Hope your day is good, get ready for winter, it's on its way. We've been in a hard freeze with endless snow since Tuesday night and creeping eastward. Should ease up on the snowfall by tomorrow but serious cold will remain for a spell longer.
