(3,049 posts)Cujo. He's not our cat, but comes to visit most days.
The late Lemmy. He was an old street cat that I brought home for the parking lot a work.
The late Morpheus. He lived in our old neighborhood and would visit frequently. He disappeared one day and we found out about a year later that he had been hit by a car over on the next block. His meow reminded me of Edward G Robinson in one of those old black and white gangster movies.

(2,828 posts)My current batch is an entire litter: two blackies and one fluffmonster of a grey tabby. I like black cats because they are the minimalist, essential "Cat". No distractions of color or patterns, just sleek elegance!
Being something of a literary nerd, my cats are Miss Katonic Neferkitty, Ulthar Inkspot, and The Grey Mouser. Nods to H.P. Lovecraft and my late friend Fritz Leiber.
