After he gave me a big wet kiss on my hand and I gave him a scratch and called him a good boy I asked the woman
"is he your golden chonk?" she burst out laughing and said, "yep he sure is..."

It was a great reminder of why my "short-term" break from IT to walk dogs has continued for 4 years with no end in sight.

I love spending time with these amazing creatures!

thank god he didn't jump the step into the rest of the house. cats kept waiging for another.

next cats had a mouse in the front hall, climbing the leeded glass. basil watched the door for weeks.

She was jet black but definitely had the golden attitude. She loved everyone and wanted to play all the time. Walking her was very difficult because she pulled the entire time. She had to go see everything and everyone!



This was one of the last pictures I took of her. She was 14. Still smiling.

It is still painful to think about. I think what was even more painful was having to listen to my husband bawl like a baby when we got back from the vet that day.

That went right through me. She was so special.
