We don't have any kids so this is gonna be a huge change for us.
Anyone have experience or advice?

(50 posts)I have not experience! But congratulations and I hope it goes well for both you and the child. I don't have children but I work as a nanny--all I would say is make sure to tell them you love them, don't ever yell, and be careful about how your voice sounds all the time.

(973 posts)We have been places with a fd8 and fs15. Siblings. In the mean time we also rescued a puppy.
Things are going good - we lucked out and got great kids.
We go back to court in May. We will be told if the kids will be reunited with their family or if they want us to consider adopting them.
We wanted young kids, under two years old. But God placed these kids in need with us. We are not sure about adopting older kids. We are currently thinking and praying about it.
Hope your days are going great!
