There is a large, beautiful Rosemary plant in the community garden. It has survived several winters in NJ, altho rosemary does not always make it thru the winter.
I should wrap it up before the 2nd big arctic freeze begins tomorrow nite.
These way below-average temps are going to kill some perenniels which normally survive the winter in zone 7.

(122,621 posts)Rosemary would be a goner here - I plant most herbs in pots and treat them as annuals, except for catnip, which is indestructible.

(18,219 posts).....or not. I gave up years ago trying to pamper plants. I haven't got anything left that I will mourn the loss.

(3,823 posts)some of these globe things for a few perennials that are hardy for my zone, but may benefit from some extra protection. I had a few that I wasn't using and put it on some Lamb's Ears. They still look like they did last summer/fall!
