What is the worst thing you've ever cooked or made?

For me a coffee pot roast, I made it in the early 80s, none of us liked it. Time marches on; I try it again last year, my sister tries it again & says I told you it sucked before & it still sucks now. She remembered for 40+ years

1. A nut loaf.

I give up meat for Lent, but was craving mashed potatoes and needed something to go with it. Enter the nut loaf.

It was truly awful. I followed the recipe (IIRC it had lentils in it, too), but it was dense and bitter and hard to chew. I don't remember much else about it.

Yes I know. I used Community Coffee last time, much better coffee and we still did not like it.

I eat too many cookies anyway.

My worst seems to be every time I use a bread machine.

I'm running out of bandsaw blades to slice the loaves.

I eat too much bread anyway.

with about a cup too much black pepper. I had no idea anything could be made so hot using black pepper alone. Many gave it a try and couldn’t eat it.

I was 23, we were living in San Jose for school. I had watched my mom do it for years. How hard could it be? Turns out, really hard. Dry turkey, lousy gravey. Only good thing on menu was mashed potatoes my BIL brought.

There is no second choice. The duck takes first through tenth place.

Kids weee in the rugrat phase. Wife was frazzled at the end of the day. “Don’t worry honey, I’ll make a stir fry.” When it came time to add cornstarch, I reached for the orange box on the shelf. No it didn’t thicken the sauce. Added three more doses before I realized that the orange box was baking soda.

So it all got tossed and we went out for pizza.

(kinda' to eat like corn nuts), or to add crunch to a salad. The recipe said to fry (on such/and such a temperature), for 15 mins. The beans were burnt, and not even crunchy! ~ Oh boy, what an epic fail!! 😄

Mr. Noodle also cooks and we sometimes go through periods of trying different versions of the same thing. One year we kept trying different versions of homemade pizza. After trying a Mexican one that was marginally successful, we tried a Chinese pizza. OMG the most horrible thing ever!
