Big winter storm headed this way for Saturday and Sunday. Looks like the largest snowfall will be south of here. Even at that, they're still predicting 6 to 8 inches here and bitter cold. Looking at the weather map, looks like the majority of us will experience this storm.

Good Morning 🌞

Extra sharp cheddar toast with gala apple slices, soon.
We are going to have freezing rain this weekend. Hoping the big pines don’t fall.

My usual whole grain muffin with butter or cream cheese will follow.

TJ will be staying in a hotel adjacent to the hospital. I'll be staying out in the country with Ducky. I've a list of prep stuff to do. Mainly power failure stuff like filling the basement bath tub with water to use to flush, locating my camp stove, etc.

Looking at the gov't forecast it shows 4 to 10 inches of snow and 0 to 0.25 inches of ice. I don't recall seeing such a large range of precipitation on these forecasts before.

The storm is predicted pretty much statewide so I don't expect the state to get out in our area to plow and treat rural roads or the power company to fix problems quickly.

The internet goes through equipment a few miles away that is powered by a different source (a co-op) and it is literally the last thing on that line. There is never a short outage there, even when our house doesn't lose power. Cellular voice and data rarely works well here.
