Broccoli rabe with pasta. This is the same recipe I used a few weeks ago because it's a winner.
Plus it's so easy. Lots of garlic infused toasted bread crumbs (panko) on top (not shown in pic).
Kombucha is pomegranate.
Dessert is a few Halos, agave, and pomegranate seeds. Half of a cranberry orange scone. Mug of hot tea.
on edit: if anyone noticed, there were 2 Jan 6 dinner threads--another one, just like this. I definitely did not click the post button twice. Guess I'll notify EarlG that it's happening again.
No cooking or baking here tonight. I'm worn out with the snow clearing.
The pup and I are bachelors tonight as TJ is in a hotel in the city.
I made a Turkey and Havarti sandwich on toasted whole wheat with mayo, Iceberg lettuce and sliced tomatoes. I had some coleslaw on the side.
Some Constant Comment tea and some low sugar oatmeal cookies will follow soon.
And yay Constant Comment tea! My mom always had it around, and i absolutely loved it.

(11,276 posts)I made it Saturday night from the remains of our New year's dinner and we're having the last of it tonight on a snowy night in VA.
If I get real ambitious I might rustle up a pan of biscuits to go with.

(9,983 posts)Sushi rice, sautéed salmon fillet, a fried egg, avocado chunks, a few smoked sardines, a little tahini. Topped with a dash of fish sauce I made (sesame oil, maple syrup, oyster sauce, chili crisp, soy sauce). Sprinkled with a little furikake (savory seaweed flakes.)
Comfort food! Plus, I use up things in anticipation of cooking other morsels tomorrow.

(19,620 posts)I cooked some ground beef, added fresh onion, green pepper, garlic and spices, some sauce in a jar, and diced pepperoni. Some leftovers and enough sauce to start something else.
Hope you get the posting issue solved
La Coliniere
(1,143 posts)A couple orange and purple sweet potatoes peeled and cut into cubes. Cauliflower florets, chopped green pepper and celery, thinly sliced yellow and red onion and minced garlic. Add a cup of drained canned chickpeas, a couple Tbs of evoo, dried oregano, pinch or 2 of cayenne and S&P. Toss everything and dump into a 9x13 roasting pan. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 70 minutes. 10 minutes before done, toss on some sliced mushrooms and bake for 10 more minutes. Mix everything when done. Squeeze on some fresh lemon juice. Easy to prepare and delicious. Kitchen smells great. Will be done in 20 minutes. Cheers!🥂
