Hoppin' John. I used a recipe from Washington Post, to which I put a link on yesterday's dinner thread. Here's a pic: In my slow cooker--almost finished.
Tossed green salad with the usual veggies: cherry tomatoes, green pepper, Persian cuke, celery, and red onion. I'm using spring mix for the greens.
Kombucha: Lavender blackberry.
Dessert: Lemon-ginger cheesecake with a little vanilla ice cream on top.

(26,077 posts)Prime rib, baking the potato now, and sautéed in salted butter sliced yellow squash with sweet onions.
For my salad I'm making a marinade of EVOO, minced garlic, oregano, cumin, apple cider vinegar that I'll put flavor bomb tomatoes and quarted artichoke hearts in while the rest is in prep.
Whole milk over ice and water as beverages.
No dessert plans, yet.
Bon Appétit, everyone!

La Coliniere
(1,143 posts)Thick asparagus spears tossed in evoo and oven roasted. While they roasted I steam fried: chopped purple shallots, orange bell pepper, sliced mushrooms and garlic. When the asparagus were tender I cut them into 2 inch bites and tossed them with the other veggies, black beans and added some Miyokos butter and fresh chopped chives, parsley, and S&P. Served over whole wheat spaghetti. Having left over Apple strudel for dessert. Cheers! 🥂
Roast Duck with cavity orange slices
