What's for Dinner, Thurs., Dec. 19, 2024

Posting early due to working late.

Might pick up something interesting at Trader Joe's, since I have to pass it on my way to buy garden supplies. It's so much fun to see the holiday items TJ's and Aldi gets in, not to mention the new Lidl.

But....if I don't, I have Italian sausage and tomato sauce in the slow cooker. Ravioli to go with it.

Blueberry basil kombucha.

Dessert: hot chocolate with chocolate chip-marshmallow/chocolate morsels in it. Swirl of whipped cream on top.

I do know I am going to make popovers today.... I just bought the best Popover pan.... never made them which I could of done in a muffin pan... I will follow American Test kitchen's recipe... They call for 2% milk...I just use whole milk thus we may see if they rise adequately???

Baked potatoes, with cottage cheese, steamed broccoli, and warmed rosemary olive oil bread, from the grocery store bakery.

We typically have a salad for lunch, but today we had leftover Asian soup and steamed veggie pot stickers.
Salad tonight is chopped romaine, spring mix, sliced cabbage, red onion, pickled beets, sliced radish, shredded carrot, chopped tomatoes, black olives and sliced mushrooms. Tossed in Dr. Fuhrman’s Tuscan Herb dressing. Chopped Trader Joe’s plant-based Italian sausage as the protein on top. Sprouted multigrain toast dipped in the dressing on the side. Cheers! 🥂

Both out of the freezer. I browned the chops with some onion and then baked them on top of some leftover Thanksgiving stuffing until they were tender. Now that I think of it, I should have cracked open one of the jars of cranberry jelly.
