I'm 6 months into Wegovy and have plateaued. I lost 40

pounds and now nothing. I've not gone to the highest dose as I didn't want more side effects but am thinking that was a mistake. I've stopped taking diabetes medication and statins as my labs were great and my doctor told me I had reversed some of my health issues. But I have not lost weight in 2 weeks.

Anybody on the 2.4 dose of Wegovy? How was it different than 1.7?

Please and thank you.

Since April. I’ve had weeks of plateau and even gained a pound or two but eventually it starts coming off again. Be patient, don’t give up or beat yourself up over it. This medication makes me constipated and my weight can fluctuate with the outgo (or lack thereof). Drink lots of water. Best of luck and don’t get discouraged. I’m down 59 lb since April 1.

You could be losing visceral fat which is a good thing.

Years ago, I dropped 55 lbs. I was stuck at the same weight for about 3 months and frustrated.

A co-worker asked, "Niagara, are you still losing weight?"

I said, "Nooooo, I've been stuck!"

She looked at me funny after i told her no and that I was stuck.

When I unbuttoned my pants later that night, they literally fell off of me! I was too busy being frustrated by reading the scales that I hadn't noticed how loose all my pants had become.

As those scales don't reveal all the weight lose (inches and visceral fat).

The first time I dropped all this weight was back in 2003 to 2006.

I didn't keep the weight off over the years. And so I had to restart my weight lose journey again back in 2021.

Keep up the fantastic work!
