Did you ever have a trauma dream that was like wtaf?

It was like watching a movie, but also being in it. I was at 12-year-old or 11-year-old girl who must have been human trafficked in an Asian place, I was eventually sold off to some man and you know the worst of what happened next..
Then I was with the mom trying to get someone from the embassy to help...
. ew.
Why brain?

Wtf...where did that even come from?

Was it some kind of alternative lifetime?
Where in my life am I feeling raped?

Geez, I haven't even been watching TV at all..
Not that id watch THAT

😫 Ugh
I literally had to get up and sage my room and light a candle for whoever that was....

Trying to watch cat videos to change my brainwaves 😕🥺🕯️

But it was just a dream.
Do seem to be having more bad dreams lately. Very unusual for me.

Everyone is feeling the strain of this current situation and timeline

I think we're all connected on some level.

Just breathe and send whatever love and healing we can back into the grid. Its the only thing that I can think of...

He was great at interpreting the symbolism of dreams. After he interrupted my dream he would always say, but it was just a dream.

with no beer in the cooler and not much liquor on the shelves while strangers were ordering mass quantities of drinks i'd never heard of using call brands i did not have . every glass i took was filthy, crusty dirty and impossible to wash and every snooty female wanted to "talk to the manager."

maybe a glimpse of hell?

8. This is an anxiety/trauma dream with three markers of good mental health.

(I am a retired mental health professional, 40 years clinical experience,
with a great deal of training in dream analysis and other projective testing methods.)

We see a young girl, who has no control over her situation, she
has been captured and being held against her will.

And sold like a piece of property, she will be subjected to horrific assaults.

It is all beyond her control, she is helpless and very frightened at the hands of ruthless villains.

This dream could reflect our current political reality, many of us are feeling helpless right now,
facing an unknown frightening future.

And/or this area could also be a combination of some childhood trauma, perhaps something at age 11.

The three healthy markers:

1. You put the trauma is a movie format, which means you are psychologically distancing
yourself from the trauma. You are not fully entering it and merging with it.
You are watching it from a distance. This is healthy.

2. Also good is that there is a mother figure trying to help you.
A mother figure is powerful, they are known to move heaven and earth to save their child.
The mother in your dream could represent you, you feel you can handle the situation
and save yourself. So good internal resources.

3. Also good there is an embassy which may help you. A strong symbol of help and rescue
in a foreign land. A safe haven with power. An external resource available to you?

A serious and disturbing trauma dream but you have hope for the future and
see powerful people who will help you. Or have powerful inner resources.
Perhaps you are not aware of them on a conscious level.

These are good coping techniques, you face danger but other people will help you,
or perhaps you know you can help yourself through this.

And you have optimism and hope for the future.

This dream was like a mini therapy session which you gave yourself.
A problem is present and you reassured yourself.

This is a more Freudian analysis, but if we go to a Jungian interpretation as one
person on the thread mentioned, it can take on another nuance.

This dream is a part of the collective unconscious, your dream has tapped into
what is going on in the ether right now. Fear and horror.

But the collective unconscious is optimistic that we will be rescued and given back
a normal life. Or that we will rescue ourselves.

I am one of those who have spectacular experiences in dreamworld, all senses functioning. Some are prophetic and some are of the 'that's odd' variety.

Not the best at interpretation but I remember the details quite clearly as though they just happened ten minutes ago. Some are pretty unusual but interesting. I have recorded some of the longer, really interesting dreams even though I still remember them clearly. Most of my dreaming is like that.

To add a side note, I study astrology and it should be noted on this day of all days that Neptune and Pluto are highly chraged right now and most of the planets are lining up this next week and today is also a challenging quarter moon. We should prepare for anything to transpire right now.

I do believe that psychic phenomena exist.
I have seen too much with my clients to discount it.

Some people keep a dream journal and find it very helpful.

Yes a powerful interplay between power, transformation and delusion.

One part that the astrological note is... that it is global, happening to everyone to some degree that is elevated and noticeable.

Thanks for giving me a structure and/or lens to frame it.

Definitely plenty to unpack. And considering that I just survived and abusive and controlling relationship that almost killed me. And that my current situation with my son living here with his girlfriend and being triggered by their trauma and abusive relationship. And yet I'm still going to school and working on my website etc and I know that I have not only friends and a good therapist as my backup but I see the powerful figure as my guides and guardian Angels / ancestors who've got my back!!!

I've been through some shit, and 11-12 years old is definitely an impressionable age, very vulnerable but on the cusp of womanhood and that whole power. And here I am at menopause with no less power in fact a whole reservoir of more in front of me and that's what I'm also diving into this year with self! I'm going to have to save this post and share it with my therapist LOL I'll have to send her a link in her email 😂😏

I just hit the obvious aspects of it, and I don't know your personal situation.

So yes, your therapist can unpack it and connect it to your life experiences past and present.

If this dream had been brought to me in my office by a client, I would call it a good dream
in terms of outcome and inner resources of the client.

Of course not the disturbing trauma aspects of the dream, but that I see a positive
outcome for the client with good coping ability.

It's like a package that gets delivered to the wrong house.

I feel bad sometimes for whoever gets mine, but maybe they are waking up as I do whenever this happens, thinking wait a minute now, that's not mine!.

I also get nightmare deliveries from alternate universe selves where I haven't been so lucky. I rarely have pleasant dreams so I suppose in most of the multiverse I'm homeless, a hermit, or dead.

My wife tells me pessimists don't live as long, which is not helpful and only adds to my worries.

It doesn't seem fair that you are having these nightmares.
