My husband's Prostatectomy is this morning.

He's sleeping now. I have trouble sleeping on most normal nights. I doubt I'll sleep tonight. I can barely breath with the anxiety.

We're not religious. And I'm honestly not convinced that thoughts or prayers have any effect on others, but my husband was comforted to hear that my sister was lighting candles for him in church. May the surgeon's hand and all OR and recovery staff be Divinely Guided throughout.

May his surgery be successful and remedy the need for it. Speedy and complete healing!

I have said many times that I received "thoughts and prayers" when I had cancer. They did not cure me. Science, education and skill did that. But there was comfort in knowing people cared.
