So I'm 4 treatments and a CT scan into chemo. Every treatment brings new problems. The first 3 rounds had difficulties (oral thrush was the worst) but were totally worth it. Dose 4 was a whole new level. I was so sick I couldn't eat anything but a few saltines for a week, ultimately fainted a few times and ended up in the hospital on IV NaCl and antibiotics. I'm OK now, eating and all, but have no energy whatsoever. They've delayed my next chemo session for 2 weeks and lowered the dose. Fingers crossed.
On the positive side, the two primary tumors have shrunk, so the doctor who asked me if I had considered palliative care now thinks I should continue with the chemo. (The third tumor was in a lymph node and all my lymph nodes are swollen right now so no actual information on how that's going).
Thank you to everyone who sent positive thoughts and prayers. ❤️🩹

(710 posts)Cancer is insidious. It has no guard rails and attacks everyone. It's not biased. Our defense is to meet it head on the best we can. Good luck to you. Strength to you. Try and find laughter anyway Yu can ... laughing helps.
