Breathe.

I just tucked mom to bed. I rubbed her back and taught her breathing exercises. She is short of breathe and it scares her.

It helped me as much as it did her.

If you are stressed, do it. Honestly, it helps.

I started doing it to help me fall asleep and I notice that when I do this breathing a have the urge to sigh. I think that is the sign that it is working.

I am so sad about your mom. I am glad you can be with her during this time and not isolated in a Covid ward. I lost my dad suddenly almost 3 years ago and it never gets easier. There is a huge hole where my heart once was.
