I hope it helps someone out there. My problem wasn't that I was fired... it's just that the department fought me so tooth and nail on *everything* that I finally just walked out. If I could have kept my temper and my temperament down to a low boil, it might have turned out differently. But handicapped AND a female fighting for rights in a military environment just wasn't going to gather many supporters.,... other than the soldiers I worked with overseas. They were appreciative of me; and, despite the bitterness I still fight, I am grateful to have been able to work with them for 20 years. They needed me, and I tried to never let them down. Just too bad the DoD let ME down when I needed them most.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.

Tell me more...
